Types of Betting IDs Explained
Not all cricket IDs work the same way. Before picking a provider, it helps to understand the three main types:
1. Exchange ID
On a betting exchange, you bet against other users — not against the platform. This means odds are driven by the market, not set by the house. You can back a team to win or lay a team (bet on them to lose). Platforms like TigerExch and SkyExchange operate on this model. Exchange IDs generally offer better odds and more flexibility, but the peer-to-peer model means you need someone on the other side of your bet.
2. Bookmaker / Sportsbook ID
Here, you bet against the platform, which sets its own odds. Simpler for beginners. Platforms like Lotus365 and Mahadev Book blend a bookmaker model with exchange options, giving you both under one wallet.
3. Master ID / Agent-Based ID
Some providers operate on a Master ID system, where an agent controls the parent account and creates sub-IDs for individual users. AmiriBook and Reddybook work this way. The agent handles all settlements manually. This can mean faster WhatsApp support but also introduces dependence on the agent’s reliability.
